Tucson Regional Workshop - April 2018
Hampton Inn & Suites Tucson-Mall, 5950 N Oracle Rd - NOT Rincon Market
How to Speak so Customers Hear You
Plus: Legal Q&A
Dinner will be served
Note change in venue:
This workshop will now be catered by Tracy's Tucson Catering at Hampton Inn & Suites Tucson-Mall (address below) NOT at Rincon Market (they called in late March saying they'd been sold and could no longer host our event).
The food will be even better, and the speaker will be great.
Would you like to transform difficult conversations into successful ones - with customers, colleagues, anyone? Speaker, trainer, facilitator, coach Connie Kadansky will help you learn how at the Tucson Educational Workshop.
For instance, what about these recent difficult conversations with:
- The homeless guy who wants to live in his unit
- The police who want your cooperation with a criminal - a tenant you'd really rather get rid of
- The angry tenant who has clearly had a bad day
- The tenant who just got your rate increase letter and wants to give you a piece of his mind
- Mr. Fix It who wants to turn your self-storage facility into his workshop
- The irate girlfriend who just broke up with your tenant, wants access to "her" unit, but isn't on the lease...we could go on and on!
Connie will improve your "conversational intelligence" by teaching you the formula to:
- Set the context - letting the customer know you care
- Explore desired outcomes - knowing in advance what you want to accomplish
- Share perspectives - so the other person knows you've heard them
- Find a middle ground - discovering what's important to both of you
- Contract for success - you have to come for this part of the formula!
We'll practice transforming your recent "difficult conversation" with this formula.
Legal Q&A
After viewing these challenges from a customer service point of view, Richard Marmor will give a legal point of view. Wondering how to deal with...
|
|
- Death of a tenant?
- Problem tenant who is not in foreclosure?
- Units without leases?
- Tenant gone to jail?
- International tenants who prepaid rent, but then you increased your rates?
|
Richard Marmor, Chair of AZSA's Legal and Legislative Committee and self-storage owner/operator, will help you tackle these and any other legal challenges you face.
