AZSA Health Insurance Plans Off to a Hot Start

by Constance Lemere
President, Employee Benefit Exchange

A recap of the year: Amidst a Pandemic, the Health Insurance Industry was forced to pivot and change how many people received care. The emergence of Telehealth & Virtual care has made great strides to bridge the gap of traditional medicine and help those in need.

Midway through 2020, AZSA was able to launch an Association created health plan option through Medova Healthcare exclusively for AZSA Members. Since launch the EBX team has worked with over 20+ AZSA Members to review and find the best health insurance options and solutions for their business & employees.

Exciting News for 2021/Plan Updates: The AZSA Plan offerings are only getting better for the 2021 plan year. Medova Healthcare has increased the deductible credit from $500 to $1000 and removed the benefit cap on office visits, just to list a few positive changes. The Network for Doctors and Hospitals remains through the Arizona Foundation which also includes The Mayo Clinic and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

A final note: As an AZSA Member we are available as a resource to you! In an industry and world that is constantly changing, it has never been more important to understand your health insurance coverage, and that is why we are here. For inquiries on the AZSA Health Plans, or if you have questions about your current coverage that you do not understand, please do not hesitate to contact our office as we can be reached at 480-839-6100.  It has been a rewarding experience to work with AZSA and its members, and we look forward to helping more AZSA members in 2021.
