My article to wrap up the year is much different than my predecessors because 2020 has been a year to say the least! As I reflect on the year, the first thing that comes to mind is how our daily lives changed in an instant. Things such as family time, education with online learning and whether or not we worked from home or were deemed “essential” all made significant impacts on our lives. Families, businesses and organizations such as AZSA had to remove obstacles, find new ways to connect and embrace new approaches to service. Networking breakfasts, educational seminars and Tradeshow’s all became virtual and everyone went from driving from meeting to meeting, flying all around the country or just having a nice business lunch, to sitting in the comfort of their homes or offices on zoom meetings.
AZSA immediately turned their educational seminars to webinars so we could continue to get the important information out to our members. With the help of many board members this was done quickly and we know that many of you have been enjoying and learning from them. In fact, we have had such great attendance, we plan on continuing them into 2021. Even during the pandemic, our goal was to connect, grow and engage our members.
We hope that at some point during the 2nd quarter of 2021, we will be able to resume in-person networking meetings and educational seminars. Our annual Tradeshow will be held in September of 2021 so look for more information coming in early 2021 as we build the program and confirm speakers.
As we go into 2021, let’s remember to celebrate our achievements no matter what that may be!
